IME Property are Scottish Property Awards finalists

December 5, 2017

For the third year in succession IME Property has been nominated as a finalist at the Scottish Property Awards 2018.

The Edinburgh-based commercial property agency has been nominated in the Hotel, Retail and Leisure category alongside industry heavyweights Cushman and Wakefield and JLL.

This year's awards attracted entries from a record high number of companies with over 100 written entries across 15 categories covering the breadth and depth of commercial and public property in Scotland.

In each of the last two years, IME has been a finalist in the Office Agency Team of the Year and Rising Star of the Year categories.

"Naturally we are delighted to once again be nominated as finalists and to be recognised as being amongst the best in our industry," commented IME's managing director, Iain Mercer.

"The retail and leisure sector in particular has been a very strong area for our business and this underlines the sheer hard work and determination of our team here."

News of the firm's latest recognition comes hard on the heels of the announcement made in October by EGi, the real estate intelligence gathering outfit, that IME was a Top 5 Winner in Edinburgh's Most Active Agent competition.

Judging was chaired for the third consecutive year by Fiona Morton, the former managing partner and chairman of Ryden, with five new judges joining the panel of 20 industry leading experts.

"It is encouraging to see a substantial increase in the number of companies entering the Scottish Property Awards this year and also to see a significant increase in entries for public property developments.  We have welcomed entries from locations across the country which reflects the excellent engagement and high regard in which the property industry holds these awards," commented Ms Morton.

Judging is currently ongoing in the three top awards including The Rising Star of the Year where IME is once again being considered.

"We are waiting with anticipation to learn whether or not we will be double nominees this year," added Mr Mercer

The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 1st March and will be held at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel.
