IME is Edinburgh Derby Official Ball Partner
IME will feature prominently at the Scottish Cup 5th round replay between Hibernian and Heart of Midlothian at Easter Road tonight with LED adverts around the pitch, having agreed to be the Official Ball Partner for the match.
Lifelong Hibs supporter and season ticket holder, Ian McDonald, founded IME in 1989, and made his name in Edinburgh as a highly respected building preservation surveyor.
But in March 2014 the company reinvented itself as IME Property and is now the city’s fastest growing commercial property agency.
Last week the firm was nominated as a finalist in the Best Performing Business (1-10) at Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce's 5th Annual Business Awards.
As the Official Ball Partner for tonight's keenly awaited replay, the IME brand will be emblazoned around the Easter Road pitch on LED screens in front of a capacity crowd of 20,000.
But not all IME staff will be rooting for the green half of the city. Ian’s managing director, Iain Mercer, is a dyed in the wool Jambo who will be in the away end tonight! Mercer, who has been in the property industry over 15 years, joined the firm in October 2014.
“You may say we’re an unlikely partnership but it proves in the commercial property business you can put football rivalries to one side,” comments McDonald.
“We have a wide range of clients and it doesn’t matter to us which side of the football divide they come from; we’re here to help people with their properties,” he added.
The business is based on Home Street in West Tollcross where its residential style shop front is the only one of its type in Edinburgh’s commercial property market.
IME Property provides a range of services to landlords including sales and lettings, investment, property management, property sourcing and refurbishment projects.
