TV License – Do you need one?

The short answer is yes! If you are using television equipment to watch or record television programmes as they’re being shown on TV, you must have a license. TV receiving equipment includes the following:

  • A TV set (colour or black & white)
  • A computer
  • A mobile phone
  • A games console
  • A digital box
  • A DVD / VHS recorder
