The short answer is yes! If you are using television equipment to watch or record television programmes as they’re being shown on TV, you must have a license. TV receiving equipment includes the following:
- A TV set (colour or black & white)
- A computer
- A mobile phone
- A games console
- A digital box
- A DVD / VHS recorder
