Sweet property sale sought in East Lothian

July 21, 2017

IME Property has been appointed by East Lothian-based chocolatiers, The Chocolate Tree, to sell their manufacturing and production facility in Haddington.

The award winning firm, who also have a shop in Edinburgh's Bruntsfield Place, has recently relocated to larger premises within the county to accommodate their growth plans.

Situated on the western fringe of the town centre on Knox Place, the building, which extends to approximately 1,184 sq ft, is entirely self-contained with its own secure yard.

"This property lends itself to a range of different commercial occupiers, but it could also be developed subject to suitable consultation with the local planners," explains IME's managing director, Iain Mercer.

"We anticipate receiving good interest given our recent experiences of transacting in the town and the fact that Haddington is growing at such a rate."

Earlier this year, on behalf of a private landlord, IME let 20 Court Street in Haddington to Animal Magic. The company was then appointed by MNH Haddington as joint letting agent at 1 and 2 George Court at 91 High Street - both units are currently under offer.

Elsewhere in the region the Edinburgh-based commercial property agency is marketing offices at Cockburn Halls in Ormiston and Royal Musselburgh Golf Course in Prestonpans.
