IME Property Boost For 'Mad Jogle' Charity Ride

Two intrepid motorbike enthusiasts who are preparing to set off on a week-long fundraising campaign for Erskine, the charity which provides care for veterans and their spouses, have received a £500 boost from Edinburgh-based IME Property.

Yvonne Harley (45) and Jeanie Reid (52) are taking part in the ‘Mad Jogle Run’, which will see them leave Edinburgh on Saturday May 21st and travel to John O’Groats. They will then ride to Land’s End, before returning for the Erskine Motorbike Meet in Glasgow on Sunday May 29th having completed over 1700 miles.

“Erskine is celebrating its 100th anniversary helping veterans this year and we thought we’d do our bit to raise funds and have set ourselves a £2,000 target,” explained Yvonne.

“Last year we completed a supported 3,000 miles ride across Route 66 in the USA, but this year’s adventure across the length of the UK is entirely unsupported,” she added.

Commenting on the latest sponsorship deal, IME’s founder and owner Ian McDonald, said: “Erskine offers nursing, residential, respite and dementia care in four homes across Scotland for UK veterans.

“It has to raise around £9m in voluntary income annually to ensure it maintains standards across the services it provides, so we’re delighted to help with Yvonne and Jeanie’s fundraising project.”
