As the last week of the English Premier League season kicks off, the competitors in IME Property's own Fantasy Football League are keeping a watchful eye on the final games of the season as the league approaches its climax.
The current leader of the 18-team league, Rajah FC, is top on 2,114 points but is being pushed all the way by Mr McC's Barmy Army who's only 45 points behind on 2,069 points. Similar to Chelsea, Rajah FC have held a lead at the top of the table for months so McC's Barmy Army will be hoping for a Gerrard-esque slip to give them any chance of clinching the title.
Leading the charge for the IME staff is Ian McDonald's Red Hall No More sitting in fifth place on 1,880 points, only 44 points behind third placed Hospital Pass.
John McDonald's No I or Me in IME and Iain Mercer's Elm All Stars are 7th and 11th respectively, with the latter once again posting the highest weekend score (58) of the teams in the bottom half of the table.
A top half finish is still within reach for a cluster of teams including Rowetation System and Team Jordan, but they'll need to post some significant scores, and hope for other teams slipping up, in the remaining weeks to achieve that.
Meanwhile, the relegation battle at the foot of the table appears to have been settled. Athletico Allied, who have been rooted to the bottom of the league for weeks are on 1398 points well adrift of second bottom Heart of East Lothian on 1502 points.
"For years the IME Fantasy Football League has been hotly contested and this year it has been no different," commented IME Property's managing director, Iain Mercer.
"It's a great way for us to engage with clients and our fellow property agents throughout the football season - we're looking forward to seeing who claims the title!," he added.
